Bastia
The walk from Bastia. Up to the ridge behind the town, at just over 800 metres. About 7km each way…
Near the top of the ridge, the ruins of some old “glacières” - buildings for storing ice…
Ajaccio
The walk - starting from La Parata, at the western end of the peninsula. Then heading up through the hills back towards Ajaccio. About 15km, highest point just over 400 metres. A very hot day!
A short boat trip across the bay from Ajaccio to Porticcio…
And a boat trip from Ajaccio out past the end of the peninsula, past La Parata to the islands just offshore, Les Iles Sanglaires…
